Brazil Summer Camps in Full Swing

Translated by Eduardo Kearn

TeachBeyond Brazil’s camp ministries Acamp-Serra and Acamp-Pampa began in January in two locations: Gramado and Pelotas, both located in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Over the course of five weeks, approximately 85 volunteers are joining the camp staff to reflect Jesus and to impact children’s lives. More than 550 kids are expected to attend seven camps – five in Gramado and two in Pelotas.

Over the years, camp ministry has been really fruitful in Gramado. Many kids have come to Christ through hearing staff testimonies and the Word, and through the many tools God has given to Acamp-Serra and Acamp-Pampa. Today, most of the camp staff are people who have been positively impacted by Christ’s love through camps. They have decided to give back, investing their time, passion and energy in the lives of children.

This year’s theme is “To infinity, and...”. The true meaning of life and the truth of the Gospel will be the center of the camps’ programs, allowing kids to contemplate Christ’s love, which will take us to infinity and beyond. Pray for our camps!
