All-School Principal

The Principal oversees the day-to-day operation of the school, the professional development of educational staff, the care of students, and the educational outcomes of the school (K-12). 

Qualifications

• Possess a love for Christ and for students
• Have a vital, growing relationship with Christ
• Have appropriate background in education and administration with proven competence in educational leadership
• Support the School’s philosophy and objectives and agree with FIA’s Statement of Faith.
• Appreciate the distinctive qualities of Christian schooling
• Have an understanding of the unique challenges faced by missionary families
• Have experience in working in a third world culture (preferred)
• Have formal education including a BA and an MA in school administration (or be working towards a related qualification)

Essential Functions

• Supervise the academic program and educational staff
• Manage the Lead Teachers, Librarians, Athletic Director, Korean Coordinator, School Nurse, and Curriculum Coordinator
• Student testing (standardized achievement tests and college entrance and AP tests) 
• Student discipline
• Admissions/ student placement
• College liaison
• Curriculum implementation 
• Special Education/ ELL
• Professional development
• Teacher placement and class scheduling
• Oversight of non-academic events
