HS Biology Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver biology lessons that are engaging, inquiry-based, and lab-centered.
• Ensure safe and effective laboratory instruction.
• Assess student learning, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Integrate technology, research skills, and instructional resources to support learning.
• Incorporate a Christian worldview into science instruction.
• Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Education, or related field
• Valid teaching certification/licensure in secondary science or biology (or ability to obtain).
• Prior teaching experience at secondary level preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in biology.
• Ability to design and deliver lab-centered instruction and differentiated learning.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate a Christian worldview.
• Agreement with and commitment to the school’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
