Regional Safeguarding Lead, Asia

The Regional Safeguarding Lead, Asia provides leadership, oversight, and support for TeachBeyond's Safeguarding Program across the region. Working as part of the Global Safeguarding Team, this role ensures safeguarding standards are implemented consistently, adapted appropriately for local contexts, and aligned with TeachBeyond's global policies. The successful candidate will champion the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults while strengthening safeguarding capacity across National Entities and TeachBeyond projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the implementation of TeachBeyond's Safeguarding Program across Asia.
  • Support National Entities to implement safeguarding policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate safeguarding training and resources for workers across the region.
  • Recruit, train, and support National Entity Safeguarding Representatives.
  • Ensure safeguarding requirements are met for regional programs, events, and TeachBeyond Projects (Family Schools).
  • Support and help manage safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely reporting, appropriate documentation, confidentiality, and follow up.
  • Conduct and oversee safeguarding assessments for TeachBeyond Projects and support leaders to strengthen safeguarding practices.
  • Work closely with the Global Safeguarding Team, Regional Vice Presidents, and National Directors to promote a strong safeguarding culture across the region.

Education, Experience and Skills Desired:

  • Rigorous standards in professionalism and ability to work congenially on teams
  • Self-starter; ability to work independently, as a team player, and from a distance
  • Experience in the delivery of training and conducting individual interviews
  • Native English or fluency to C2 level or higher required
  • Native or fluent in another language to a C2 level or higher, highly preferred
  • Proven interpersonal, public relations, written, and verbal communication skills; with proven ability to communicate with a variety of formats and audiences across cultures
  • Extensive understanding of confidentiality and a keen awareness of the sensitivity of the information processed and held as part of the duties of the position
  • Ability to order priorities with a high level of efficiency reflected in good work habits and a sound work ethic; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept to delivery
  • Strong administrative and technical skills

This opportunity is a remote and support based role; full or part-time. Pay is based on the applicants own ability to raise funds for their salary. Paid via donor or self-support
